DAIH was a pioneer in establishing the Palliative care unit. The unit’s establishment was made possible by a donation from the Humanitarian Foundation of Al Waleed Bin Talal. The unit is located on the second floor of the west building of Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital and has the capacity to welcome eight patients at the same time.
The Palliative care unit focuses on caring for patients who are in a coma or have a terminal health condition. We aim to reduce the patients’ pain and enrich their quality of life and its ending.
The work of the unit is overseen by a specialized medical and nursing team who are sensitive to the patients’ needs.
